About The Position

The Retail Deli Associate (Deli Attendant) is responsible for safe food handling and providing strong customer service. This is a safety-sensitive position. The employee must competently acknowledge customers, employees, and vendors; assist customers with food orders; keep the work area clean and organized; answer multiple phone lines; restock items as time allows; assist other employees; and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on their importance and level of need.
Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors using proper telephone etiquette.
Strong team-player focus in all interactions.
Ability to handle money, give change, and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
Must be willing to obtain safe food-handling certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities
