About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. is hiring a part-time Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter for its Phenix City, Alabama retail store. The role greets donors, receives and organizes donated goods, provides donation receipts, and helps maintain a clean work area. The associate will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of the retail operation. Part-time positions average 20–25 hours per week. Hours may fluctuate based on business needs, including seasonal changes and donation volumes. Operating days vary by store location. The associate must be available to work any shift Monday through Sunday.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
High school diploma or GED, or enrollment in high school or a GED program.
Basic math skills.
Prior experience in a retail or customer-service-related environment.
Must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Nice To Haves

One year of cash-handling experience.
Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Greet donors quickly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Receive donated goods by unloading vehicles and carrying donated items.
Provide receipts to donors and maintain accurate donation records using a handheld device.
Organize donations into bins to assist with accurate processing.
Perform general housekeeping duties and keep the work area neat and clean.
Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
Work in other store areas as requested by the leadership team.
Learn and work in all areas of the retail operation after cross-training.
