About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is hiring a part-time Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter for its Carrollton, Georgia retail store. The position averages 20–25 hours per week, with hours fluctuating according to business needs, seasonal changes, and donation volumes. Operating days vary by store location, and the associate must be available to work any shift Monday through Sunday. Although hired as a Donor Door Greeter, the associate will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of the retail operation. The role involves welcoming donors, receiving and organizing donated goods, recording donations, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting with donation handling.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Average math skills.
Ability to use a handheld electronic device.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Availability to work any shift Monday through Sunday.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a retail or customer-service-related environment.
Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Greet donors promptly and provide excellent customer service.
Receive donated goods by unloading vehicles and carrying donated items inside.
Provide receipts to donors and maintain accurate donation records using a handheld device.
Organize donations in bins as they are brought in to support accurate processing.
Perform general housekeeping and keep the work area neat and clean.
Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
Work in other store areas as requested by the leadership team.
Learn and work in all areas of the retail operation through cross-training.
