About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by building customer connections, communicating Vuori’s brand values, sharing product knowledge, and encouraging the team to maintain retail sales and customer experience standards. When the Store Manager is not in, the Assistant Store Manager leads day-to-day store operations and motivates the team to achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment. The position also supports inventory management, shipments, store maintenance, visual merchandising, and daily operational tasks. Working with the Retail Store Manager and Store Inventory Lead, the Assistant Store Manager helps ensure the store runs smoothly and safely while maintaining a customer-first focus.

Willingness to stay active and move throughout the store during each shift.
Willingness to reach, bend, and use a step stool or ladder when needed.
Willingness to work in an environment with bright lights and music.
Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to provide each customer with an excellent experience and take ownership of the sales floor.
Prepare fitting rooms, find product sizes, and provide knowledgeable and honest feedback on merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay knowledgeable about new and popular products and share that knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Retail Store Manager is not in, motivate the sales team, and help achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Lead team projects while keeping customer experience a priority and communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with product shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow store protocols and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to give their full effort and meet punctuality and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restocks and send reports to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with processing weekly shipments.
Ensure store supplies are stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restocking and destocking are completed and help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage and refresh Aloha displays weekly, refresh mannequins, check one-offs, and ensure merchandising standards are met on the sales floor.
