About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team and deliver a strong customer experience by building customer connections, communicating Vuori’s brand values, and sharing product knowledge with an upbeat, optimistic approach. The role supports the team in meeting Vuori’s retail sales and customer-experience standards. The Assistant Store Manager leads day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present, motivates the team to achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment, and helps ensure the store runs smoothly. The position also supports inventory and shipment processing, store maintenance, merchandising, and operational routines.

Requirements

Available for morning and/or evening shifts, working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, and available at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and attendance, with adherence to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Customer-service expertise, including creating experiences, building customer relationships, embracing the social aspect of sales, and proactively handling customer concerns.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn new procedures and processes quickly.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best possible experience.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, prioritizing the customer experience.
Prepare fitting rooms, locate sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to upcoming events.
Stay knowledgeable about new and popular products and share that information with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and help achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge across the broader fashion and activewear landscape.
Lead the team in completing projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs in support of business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow responsibility, protocol, and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to meet expectations for effort, punctuality, and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restock and submit a report to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with processing weekly shipments.
Keep store supplies stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restock and destock tasks are completed.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
