About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and communicate Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic approach. The role supports sales goals and daily store operations, leads the team when the Store Manager is not present, and helps maintain the store’s standards for merchandising, inventory, cleanliness, and customer service.

Requirements

Available mornings and/or evenings, able to work 8-hour shifts five days per week, and available at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Strong customer service skills, including the ability to create positive experiences, build customer relationships, and proactively handle customer concerns.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, making customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable and honest feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share product knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge across fashion and activewear to serve as an expert for customers.
Lead project completion while maintaining focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with processing shipments and managing inventory.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow safety standards and store protocols when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Store Manager’s guidance, to meet expectations for effort, punctuality, and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restocking and send a report to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with weekly shipment processing.
Keep store supplies stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure restocking and destocking are completed daily.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
