The Café Ambassador is the face of Capital One’s mission to change banking for good, working in a modern Café rather than behind a traditional teller line. The role combines high-end guest service with guidance on digital banking, connecting the Café’s community environment with Capital One’s digital tools and products. This is a banking guide position, not a barista role; the ambassador does not serve coffee and is not subject to traditional sales quotas or high-pressure sales tactics. The Café Ambassador engages with guests, shares information about Capital One products and services through genuine conversation, and helps customers use mobile tools and resolve technology challenges. The role also supports local financial-health events and community partnerships, advocates for customers, resolves issues in line with compliance and regulatory requirements, and helps create an inclusive environment. Handling complaints and escalated situations, including de-escalation, is an important part of the work. The position is active and involves moving throughout the Café and standing for extended periods. It may require supporting other Cafés within a 50-mile radius, with occasional assistance at locations elsewhere in the broader region. The schedule is flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays; hours and days may change based on business needs. Required training may take place on a schedule different from the primary shift. Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package, including day-one medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; flexible spending accounts; life and disability insurance; paid time off; education assistance; matching 401(k) contributions up to 7.5%; paid parental leave; mental health support; backup child or elder care; company-provided Threads apparel; and a custom beverage while working. Eligibility varies based on employment and management status.
