About The Position

The Retail Ambassador provides exceptional guest service to all guests at American Dream. The role involves assisting guests with merchandise and general questions, maintaining a designated product area, supporting sales, and accurately handling transactions. The ambassador also helps keep the selling area organized, safe, and clean.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Outstanding guest service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, supervisory staff, and the buying office.
Basic math skills.
Interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous retail experience.
Previous cash handling experience.
Previous guest service experience.
Basic computer knowledge.
Point of Sale experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, determine their needs, converse with them, and provide courteous parting remarks.
Answer guest questions about products, American Dream, and the local region.
Prepare and organize products for display and purchase.
Maintain the assigned product area and its backstock; restock displays as needed.
Communicate inventory levels and product sales to the manager and buyers.
Maintain knowledge of product features, alternatives, and benefits, as well as current sales, promotions, and discounts.
Use suggestive selling techniques and recommend, select, and locate merchandise based on guests' needs.
Process merchandise sales using the POS system and accurately count and handle funds according to established procedures.
Follow Loss Prevention procedures and oversee the safety and cleanliness of the selling area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
