About The Position

The ReStore Specialist is a thrift store clerk who supports all aspects of ReStore operations, including customer service, sales, donation intake, warehouse logistics, and merchandising. The role supports the lifecycle of second-hand inventory, from accepting public donations to cleaning, tagging, shelving, and processing purchases at the register. The position works in a customer-facing warehouse and retail environment with a changing assortment of merchandise.

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift and carry heavy items or boxes.
• Basic math skills and cash-handling accuracy.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn second-hand brand values, pricing tiers, and basic computer/POS systems.
• Reliability, punctuality, and alignment with the Habitat Bucks mission.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses; color determination vision; and ability to climb ladders or scaffolding up to 6 feet, grasp, reach, stoop, speak, listen, and distinguish differences in odors.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled conditions, possibly outdoors, in warehouses, or at donor facilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience moving furniture or appliances.
• Experience operating a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in finding merchandise.
• Inspect donated goods for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
• Keep the sales floor and checkout counters clean and organized.
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
• Operate the cash register, process cash and card payments, and balance the drawer at shift close.
• Restock shelves, fold clothing, and arrange attractive floor displays.
• Perform tasks assigned by the ReStore Manager and Assistant Manager.
