About The Position

The Dock Worker assists primarily with receiving operations at the ReStore. The role includes unloading donations, cleaning and sorting donated items, pricing them according to internal guidelines, and moving them to the sales floor or stock shelves. The position may also support register-area tasks, customer service, and store maintenance.

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, and climb in and out of a box truck.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload ReStore donations from donor vehicles and ReStore trucks.
• Provide donors with timely, courteous service and a positive experience.
• Clean and sort donated items in the ReStore.
• Price items appropriately using internal guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and stock shelves.
• Help keep the store and dock areas clean and organized, including daily straightening and store maintenance.
• Answer customer questions in person and over the phone about product prices, discounts, and policies.
• Issue receipts, hold tags, sold tags, and appliance warranties as needed.
• Greet customers.
• Keep all areas clear and free of safety hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
