About The Position

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking driven individuals to support its mission of helping others and serving local communities. The Dock Worker transports products and materials throughout the warehouse, loads and unloads trucks, and moves materials to appropriate departments. The worker operates warehouse equipment and keeps the work area clean. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be physically able to perform the listed duties.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
• Must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Transport products throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, wheeled bins, and similar equipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Transport materials to appropriate departments, including trash, textiles, and shoes.
• Operate tippers, compactors, and balers.
• Manually unload metal recyclables, cardboard, and luggage bins.
• Keep the work area clean as needed.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts if trained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
