About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for Sortino's Italian Kitchen. The supervisor exemplifies company standards and behaviors by ensuring guests receive food and beverages with a fun, friendly, professional, and attentive approach. The role includes training, developing, and coaching associates; completing administrative duties; and supporting high-quality service, consistent product standards, teamwork, and a welcoming, efficient work environment. The supervisor is part of the leadership team and supports the resort’s commitment to leading with love and creating extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.

Nice To Haves

General food and beverage knowledge, including at least one year of front-of-the-house operations and/or supervisory experience in a hotel or resort setting.
Bilingual skills.
A certificate following completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class may be required by state or local law.
State-certified proper food-handling certification may be required by state or local law.

Responsibilities

Support the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, and Food & Beverage Director.
Understand and communicate policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the resort’s food and beverage outlets, and enforce them with restaurant associates.
Fill in as an associate where needed to meet guest-service standards and maintain efficient daily operations.
Develop, coach, and train staff in all areas of professional development.
Ensure equipment is clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following preventative maintenance programs.
Provide attentive, professional food and beverage service that supports guest satisfaction.
