About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Server for Sortino's Italian Kitchen. The Server provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience and participates as part of the team while following the Kalahari Promise and service expectations. The role includes welcoming guests, providing personalized assistance, and ensuring food and beverage orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Servers collaborate with associates to support an efficient dining environment.

Requirements

General food and beverage knowledge involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations is preferred.
Ability to operate a Micros terminal, phone system, POS system, and beverage dispenser.
State or local law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class and state-certified proper food handling certification.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations experience.
Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
Greet guests, explain specials and menu changes, provide menu tours, and recommend items.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system for the kitchen and bar.
Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly using appropriate service trays.
Assist fellow servers, bussers, hosts/hostesses, and managers as situations arise.
Participate as a team member and follow the Kalahari Promise and service expectations.
