About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Server Assistant for Sortino's Italian Kitchen. The role provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience and supports the team in following Kalahari’s service expectations and core values. The Server Assistant helps maintain clean tables and dining areas, ensuring a comfortable, welcoming environment for guests. The posting also describes leadership-team responsibilities, including guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering guest experiences.

Requirements

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other resort associates.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to work independently during busy periods.

Restaurant, hotel, resort, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Take dirty tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, and other items in the appropriate areas for washing.
Clean tabletops, chairs, and booths promptly between seatings.
Check floors and clean them as required.
Reset and arrange tabletops.
Inspect the assigned restroom every 30 minutes; clean it and replenish supplies as needed, and/or alert common-area cleaners to problem areas.
Communicate with servers and the host or hostess to support efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Fill in as needed to support smooth and efficient restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Participate as a team member and follow Kalahari’s core values and service expectations.
