About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Server Assistant for Sortino's Italian Kitchen. The role provides friendly, responsive service to help create an exceptional dining experience. The Server Assistant works as part of the team, follows the Kalahari Promise and its service expectations, and helps keep tables and dining areas clean, orderly, comfortable, and welcoming. The posting also describes leadership-team expectations to guide, support, and inspire associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other resort associates.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to work independently during busy times.

Responsibilities

Take dirty tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, and other items in the appropriate areas for washing.
Between seating, promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths; check and clean floors as needed; and reset and arrange tabletops.
Inspect the assigned restroom every 30 minutes, cleaning it and replenishing supplies as needed, and/or alert common-area cleaners to problem areas.
Communicate with servers and the host or hostess to support efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Fill in as needed to help ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Participate as a team member and follow Kalahari's core values and service expectations.
