About The Position

The Watermark Baton Rouge is seeking a full-time Outlet (Restaurant) Supervisor to oversee service in its food and beverage outlets. The supervisor assists the manager with training, motivating, and coaching staff, and monitors expenses and controls labor costs. Service may be provided at either The Gregory, an upscale restaurant featuring Southern cuisine, or Milford’s on Third, a New York City-style deli with Southern-inspired offerings. The role also includes ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of menus and assisting in the outlets as needed. The position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to assimilate complex information and data from disparate sources and adapt it to the needs of a particular situation.
• Effective listening skills and ability to understand and clarify concerns raised by coworkers and guests.
• Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic arithmetic functions.

Nice To Haves

• Some college coursework is preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility is preferred.

Responsibilities
