About The Position

Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa, is seeking a passionate, guest-focused Restaurant Supervisor/Maitre d' to lead service and help deliver an exceptional dining experience. The position requires an active, visible presence on the dining floor, engaging with guests and building meaningful relationships through attentive, proactive service.

The Restaurant Supervisor oversees daily operations and leads the service team, while assisting the Restaurant Manager with staff training and development. The ideal candidate brings hospitality experience, strong leadership skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to maintain an engaged presence during peak service. The role pays USD $25.00–$27.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a host, server, or cashier.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with guests and create welcoming interactions.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Prior cash-handling experience.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with the MICROS POS system.
• TIPS, CPR, and Serve Safe certifications preferred.
