About The Position

The Maitre d welcomes guests, manages seating and waitlists, provides menus, answers questions, and takes reservations. The role supports a smooth dining-room rotation, checks in with guests about their experience, and helps resolve complaints. The Maitre d also assists with other restaurant positions as needed and provides high-quality customer service.

Requirements

Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
Ability to do high-quality work unsupervised.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification when needed.
Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Restaurant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they enter and place them on a waiting list when necessary.
Provide menus and answer guests’ initial questions.
Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
Assign guests to their preferred tables while managing table rotation so servers receive an appropriate number of customers.
Engage with guests to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
Respond to complaints and help resolve them.
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions.
Maintain knowledge of the menu.
Help with other restaurant positions as needed.
Provide great customer service.
