About The Position

The Server takes customers’ food and drink orders, serves food and beverages, prepares itemized checks, and may accept payments. Additional duties may include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, operating a cash register, and checking patrons’ identification to verify they meet the minimum age requirement to purchase alcohol. The role is responsible for providing guests with the highest quality service in an efficient and courteous manner.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Alcohol Awareness Certification, in compliance with state regulations.
Food Handlers certification, in compliance with state regulations.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
Meet applicable certification requirements, including Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, and Safety certifications.
Know the organization of the restaurant and lounge and the functions of each job position.
Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant menus and specials.
Serve guests’ food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
Perform cashiering functions, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to station rotation assignments.
Keep tables and side stands stocked, tidy, and clean.
Perform other tasks or jobs assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Check patrons’ identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcohol.
