About The Position

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. Take orders and enter them into the point-of-service system, set and clear tables, stock service stations, retrieve orders from food preparation areas, and ensure food is prepared accordingly. Prepare guest checks and process payments when appropriate. Support other food-and-beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods. Work toward improving guest satisfaction and follow HHM’s EarthView sustainability guidelines and safe-work standards. The schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

Previous food-and-beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
Knowledge of POS systems.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-service system.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Set and clear tables in dining areas.
Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws.
Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
Prepare guest checks and, when appropriate, complete payment transactions.
Perform other food-and-beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
