About The Position

Kana Hotel Group seeks a Restaurant Server to provide timely, friendly service to restaurant guests. The role includes taking and entering orders, delivering food and beverages, processing payments, maintaining clean tables and restaurant areas, and ensuring guests are satisfied. Servers must follow procedures for checking identification and serving alcohol responsibly, and escalate guest-service issues to management when needed. The position requires a neat uniform and good grooming and hygiene. High school diploma or GED is preferred; at least six months of server experience is required. Hospitality experience is preferred. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of server experience.
Possess basic math skills and cash-handling ability.
Hold applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card(s).
Ability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in hospitality.

Responsibilities

Serve tables as assigned by management by retrieving and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner.
Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage preparation, menu, and pricing.
Use a computer to enter orders and generate checks.
Interact with guests in a friendly and prompt manner.
Process various forms of payment and follow cash- and credit-card-handling procedures.
Complete assigned side work and maintain cleanliness in the restaurant and kitchen.
Clear, clean, and prepare tables.
Check guests’ identification to confirm they are of legal drinking age and politely refuse service to those who are not.
When serving alcoholic beverages, observe guest behavior, count drinks served, and follow procedures if a guest may be impaired to drive, including suggesting taxi transportation.
Escalate guest-service issues to management when unable to resolve them.
Ensure guests are satisfied during their meal service.
Report to work in a neat, clean uniform and maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
Perform other duties as assigned.
