About The Position

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking a restaurant server for Honeycomb Grill to provide excellent customer service during guests’ dining experiences. The server sells menu items, enters orders with the kitchen to support proper delivery timing, anticipates guests’ needs, and provides prompt, friendly service. The role involves working with restaurant and kitchen colleagues in a fast-paced environment and may include additional tasks as needed.

• Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses or certifications, such as a Food Handler’s Certificate and Sips and Tips.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the ordering system.
• Know the menu, make recommendations, and answer guests’ questions.
• Set up the restaurant for food service, including setting tables with linens, silverware, and stemware.
• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule customer reservations.
• Assist the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, host, and other servers as needed, and complete additional tasks such as shoveling the patio.
• Close and clean the restaurant and prepare it for food service the next day.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide prompt, friendly service.
