About The Position

The Lenox is an independent hotel and a Back Bay landmark known for its character, creativity, and genuine hospitality. The Restaurant Host helps create a welcoming and memorable dining experience by setting the tone for guests, managing service flow, and supporting the hospitality team across three outlets: Sweeney’s on Boylston, The Irving at The Lenox, and Willow & Ivy.

The role includes greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and guest flow, answering phone inquiries, maintaining high service standards, assisting with clearing and resetting tables, and keeping host stations and equipment clean and organized. The host should anticipate and exceed guest expectations while maintaining a polished, professional demeanor.

The position requires schedule flexibility, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; weekend availability is required. The listed pay is $25 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• At least 1 or 2 years of experience in a food and beverage department.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Weekend availability is required.

Nice To Haves

• Multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Familiarity with Toast or similar POS systems is helpful.
