About The Position
The Restaurant Dishwasher focuses on maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness so guests receive food and beverage service that meets Neiman Marcus standards. The role keeps dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized, maintains the dish machine and cleaning supplies, washes cookware, dishes, flatware, and glassware, and assists with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning as needed. The dishwasher upholds health and sanitation requirements set by Neiman Marcus, local health departments, and third-party sanitation auditors, while maintaining professional relationships with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

- Availability based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Keep dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to high health and kitchen standards.
- Check dish-machine chemicals, operate the machine, keep chemical testers on hand, and report malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
- Use sanitizing materials properly.
- Check trash periodically and remove it when full.
- Organize the dish area and maintain solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware at an appropriate pace.
- Use caution when handling breakable items such as dishes and glassware.
- Keep floors free of spills, grease, and general trash.
- Assist with preparation and additional cleaning throughout the kitchen as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, the chef, and front-of-house staff.
- Follow health and sanitation standards directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors.
