About The Position

Beer Code at San Antonio International Airport is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality meals and help deliver exceptional dining experiences to travelers. The role works alongside a team in a fast-paced dining environment and follows recipes, brand standards, and food safety and sanitation practices. The Cook supports food preparation, service readiness, inventory rotation, and an organized kitchen, while helping provide first-class guest experiences and authentic Smoke Shack hospitality.

Requirements

Ability to use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
Ability to follow recipes and product directions.
Ability to follow food safety and sanitation practices and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare, season, cook, taste, carve, portion, and serve food according to recipes and product directions, with 100% recipe adherence.
Follow production preparation lists and maintain accurate records.
Request supplies and equipment as needed; assist with food-supply ordering and planning as directed by a supervisor.
Use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
Wash, slice, and peel items on the preparation list.
Store prepared food safely and ensure items are properly date-labeled.
Follow brand standards related to food safety, sanitation, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction.
Comply with applicable local, state, and federal food safety laws and regulations.
Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
Report equipment repair and maintenance needs to management.
Monitor proper rotation and dating of prepared food items and storage areas.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment free of safety hazards.
Create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
