Restaurant Busser Council Room
About The Position
The Restaurant Busser facilitates food service in the Council Room by clearing and resetting tables, carrying dishes and supplies, replenishing service areas, and assisting with food delivery and guest service. The role requires a sense of urgency when greeting guests and turning tables, strong teamwork, and adherence to hygiene and service standards. Duties are performed primarily indoors, with some outdoor activity as required. The position may involve exposure to weather, cleaning products, heights, motorized equipment, hand tools, and other workplace hazards. Work hours may change, and overtime may be required when approved by management. The role may require long hours under stressful conditions.
Requirements

- Knowledge of service ware, table setting, and proper removal of soiled service ware.

- Able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.

- Must successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Must complete post-offer, pre-employment, and random drug screening.
- Must obtain Food Handler certification upon hire.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently; demonstration of this ability is required.
- Able to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, walking, balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and running when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Clean tables and clear soiled linens, dishes, glassware, and silverware.
- Clean up spilled food and drinks, broken dishes, empty bottles, and trash.
- Carry food, dishes, trays, and silverware between kitchens, supply departments, serving counters, tables, and the dish room.
- Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, trays, food, and equipment at steam tables and service bars.
- Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
- Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry tableware to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Demonstrate urgency when greeting guests and turning tables.
- Assist in running food to tables and the lounge.
- Assist with room service orders to guest rooms when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
