Respite Provider
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network is recruiting a dependable, compassionate Respite Provider to support an individual in their home and occasionally in the community in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The role focuses on everyday assistance, encouragement, companionship, and fostering a positive, comfortable environment while helping the individual remain in their own home and participate in daily routines. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility and occasional weekends. Pay is $14.13 per hour, with a daily code rate of $207.24 for qualifying shifts of eight hours or longer. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, the Member would be the legal employer of record. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting a Direct Care Worker; the Member or Managing Party has sole authority to hire or dismiss workers.
Requirements
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Be patient, friendly, and compassionate.
- Be comfortable assisting with everyday household activities.
- Provide respectful, person-centered support.
- Be comfortable working both in the home and occasionally in the community.
- Cannot be afraid of dogs.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is considered a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic household routines, such as making the bed.
- Help with meals and simple meal preparation.
- Assist with care and cleaning of a guinea pig’s cage.
- Provide companionship, encouragement, and positive support.
- Help the individual participate in activities and errands in the community.
- Support the individual’s independence and participation in normal daily routines.
