About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice works under the direction of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The apprentice maintains appropriate equipment levels in respiratory work areas and assists Respiratory Therapists with procedures and tasks as directed. Duties may include assembling, transporting, disinfecting, calibrating, and troubleshooting respiratory-related equipment.

The position is part time, with variable shifts and four scheduled hours per week. It is based at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 or older.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association preferred within 90 days.
