About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - Midtown Atlanta is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions, evaluate patients, recommend treatment plans, and support patients and families throughout recovery. The role is full-time days, scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. Compensation is $35.55 to $47.78 per hour, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital offers an extensive respiratory therapist orientation program, tuition reimbursement and continuing education, a clinical ladder program, and a student debt benefit program. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma preferred, or high school transcript or diploma or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
