About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population at its New Braunfels LTACH/Rehab hospital. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. The position is listed as PRN days.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
