About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in its hospitals. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The ideal candidate has inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. The position is listed as PRN days in New Braunfels at an LTACH/rehabilitation facility. Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.

Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
Maintain all equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
