Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) PRN Days | Reno LTACH
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population at its Reno LTACH. The role involves working closely with providers to support patient improvement and recovery. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, and candidates who are committed to learning are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities

- Maintain all equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
