About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population at its Luling LTACH/Rehab location. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, and candidates with a desire and commitment to learn are also considered.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least an associate degree is preferred at hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine respiratory therapy procedures.
- Perform diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
- Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
