Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) FT Days | Reno LTACH
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and keeps equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and performs other related duties as assigned. The position is full-time on days at a Reno LTACH. Prior inpatient hospital experience is helpful, though candidates with a commitment to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
- Maintain equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
