About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population at its Texarkana LTACH. The role supports chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, though a commitment and willingness to learn are also considered.

Requirements

Be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of clinical respiratory experience.
An associate degree, preferred at hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

Perform routine respiratory therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
