About The Position

Cheeca Lodge and Spa is seeking a Server to provide attentive, personalized service to guests at its restaurant in Islamorada, Florida Keys. The role focuses on creating memorable dining experiences and delighting guests through outstanding service. The server is described as second only to food quality in creating positive culinary experiences, with guest service as the primary responsibility.

Servers welcome guests, take and process orders, respond to special requests, check on guest satisfaction, and provide informed recommendations based on knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant offerings. The role also includes opening and closing duties, restocking, maintaining cleanliness and health standards, responding professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, maintaining a professional appearance, and participating in team briefings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least one year of experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Basic computer skills or literacy.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge.
• Ability to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints.
• No facial or tongue piercings.
• No facial, hand, or face/neck tattoos.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide welcoming, personalized service.
• Take and process food and drink orders, accommodate special requests, and check on guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain attentive and courteous service in accordance with Cheeca Lodge and Spa’s service standards.
• Complete opening and closing tasks, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health standards.
• Learn the menu, daily specials, and restaurant offerings to make informed recommendations.
• Answer guest inquiries and resolve issues or complaints positively and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Participate in team briefings.
• Prioritize guest service and work to delight guests.
