About The Position

Resort Housekeepers regularly clean resort facilities, buildings, and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing guest and staff areas, maintaining floors, appliances, bathrooms, windows, laundry equipment, offices, and other facilities, and following established safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work.
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and stock areas with products as needed; ensure tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.
• Clean and sanitize appliances, keeping them free of food particles, mold, and mildew; defrost freezers as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensure they are well lit, and place rubber mats to promote safety.
• Follow established safety procedures and report unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and defective equipment to the manager.
• Maintain the overall appearance and orderliness of the resort, buildings, and facilities.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, and buff floors as needed.
• Keep windows and screens clean and ensure they function properly.
• Maintain washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, and performing related upkeep.
• Keep offices and buildings clean and neat and empty trash containers as needed.
• Clean and change vents and filters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
