About The Position

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is a leading statewide provider of behavioral health services and a Certified Great Place to Work. We are currently seeking Per Diem Residential Support Specialists to join our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) team, providing flexible, as-needed direct care coverage within our residential programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for all working hours
  • Committed to consumer empowerment, growth, human rights, and community integration
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work flexible, as-needed per diem shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Human services experience preferred but not required; training provided by BHN

Responsibilities

  • Assist and monitor activities of daily living, encouraging independence, competency, and decision-making
  • Support quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, respect, and dignity
  • Monitor overall health and well-being and assist with aspects of medication treatment and administration
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed
  • Help individuals maintain and strengthen social support networks, including relationships with family, friends, and community groups
  • Plan and provide opportunities for community activities
  • Act as a key implementer of strategies to meet ISP/PSTP goals
  • Complete shift summaries, progress notes, and required documentation (e.g., Incident Reports, Medication Occurrence Reports) in a timely manner
  • Provide safe, timely transportation using your own vehicle for appointments, errands, and recreational activities as needed
  • Prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks, and perform routine household cleaning and maintenance
  • Attend required trainings and in-services as scheduled
  • Communicate with supervisors as required during scheduled shifts, including overnight shifts
