About The Position

Monte Nido Clementine Cherry Hill is a residential treatment program in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, serving adolescents seeking treatment for eating disorders and exercise addiction. The program supports adolescents and their families through recovery by helping clients build healthy skills and prepare to navigate life free of their eating disorder. The Residential Counselor supports clients through their recovery journey, provides support consistent with treatment plans, and helps foster healthy connections within the treatment community. The role is per diem (PRN), with flexibility to work day or night shifts on weekdays or weekends. Day shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and night shifts run from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $16–$21 per hour, plus weekend and overnight shift differentials.

Requirements

At least two years of post-high-school education.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving history.
Good communication and client relations skills, service orientation, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team.
At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired and required in some states.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

Integrate and support clients through their recovery journey.
Provide support and intervention consistent with each client’s treatment plan.
Engage clients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other clients and the team.
Assist with food preparation and set-up, and model and supervise client meals and snacks.
Gain exposure to therapeutic groups and develop core skills to promote clinical growth.
Conduct rounds and provide observations.
Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.
