About The Position

This position works under the supervision of the Program Director and is knowledgeable of ICF/DD Guidelines. The Residential Care Supervisor 1 supervises assigned direct care staff in the Day Program and assigned unit. This includes evaluating staff, initiating disciplinary actions, commendations, making recommendations for the final outcome of discipline, attending pre-disciplinary meetings, responding to step 1 grievances, and ensuring compliance with the union contract. The role also involves monitoring staff's compliance in active treatment and documentation (such as progress notes, behavior data), with all documentation for programming maintained in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Point Click Care. The supervisor models positive interaction with individuals who reside at WDC through direct care program implementation and ensures compliance with Medicaid Guidelines/Standards. Responsibilities extend to reviewing and preparing purchase requests for the Day Program, assigned unit, and/or individuals, coordinating shopping for individuals, ensuring linen needs are met, marked, and disposed of correctly, and ordering supplies while maintaining inventories. The role also involves ensuring necessary and designated Day Program and individual documentation is completed accurately and timely in Point Click Care, planning and organizing campus events and activities, attending in-services and meetings, relieving direct care staff when necessary, performing shift supervision as scheduled, and performing other related duties such as escorting individuals on field trips, community outings, and assisting with individuals on living units when necessary. Requirements

  • 24 months' training or 24 months' experience in providing care to patients and/or in participating in development and/or carrying out of patients' habilitation plans.
