About The Position
The Residential Aide assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The position works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Requirements
- Residential Care Specialist 1 (RCS-I) or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification is required within 120 calendar days.
- Must be placed on the state registry within 120 calendar days.
- Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire and maintain it.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital, assisted living facility, or physician’s office is preferred.
