About The Position
Forestdale Park is hiring Resident Care Associates to provide direct care to senior residents in a safe, home-like, and welcoming environment. Associates spend time with residents, support daily living activities, take part in activities, assist with dining and light housekeeping, and coordinate with colleagues across departments. The role is based at Forestdale Park in Malden, Massachusetts. Available schedules are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM full time, with an every-other-weekend commitment, or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM part time, also with an every-other-weekend commitment. Pay starts at $19 per hour.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
- Punctuality and reliability in assisting residents with daily living activities.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents, with and without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Spend quality time with seniors and provide direct personal care.
- Join or lead activities with residents.
- Track care and other tasks using the electronic health record system.
- Assist the housekeeping team with light housekeeping services.
- Escort residents to meals and assist with dining services as needed.
- Work across departments to foster cooperation, collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
