About The Position

As a Resident Care Assistant in Memory Support at Chelsea Retirement Community’s Towsley Village-Memory Care in Chelsea, Michigan, you will provide essential daily care and companionship, helping create a warm, welcoming environment for residents. The schedule is full time, 40 hours per week, from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a required weekend and holiday rotation and no scheduling mandation. Shift premiums are listed as $1.00 for 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m., $0.75 for 10:31 p.m.–7:00 a.m., and $1.00 for the weekend period from Friday at 10:31 p.m. through Sunday at 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry at least 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a direct caregiving role; preferred but not required.
• Previous working knowledge of an Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help residents with meals and hydration.
• Support resident mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Keep resident rooms tidy, comfortable, and stocked with essentials.
• Respond promptly and compassionately to call lights.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to leadership as soon as possible.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect and professionalism while providing care.
