About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides memory care residents with assistance in activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps them maintain their personal environment. The position also involves transporting residents around the community and responding promptly and safely to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards. Resident Assistants review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs. The schedule is full-time, overnight, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
