About The Position

Otterbein is seeking compassionate Wellness Resident Assistants to provide person-centered assistance with residents’ activities of daily living. The role provides high-quality service in a cheerful and timely manner while communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to meet residents’ needs and team goals. Resident Assistants work under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge. The listed schedule is part-time days, 8 a.m. to noon.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
First Aid course certification.

Nice To Haves

Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide encouragement and high-quality care in a cheerful, timely manner.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including oral care, toileting, bathing, incontinence care, and dressing, as needed and in a caring, supportive manner.
Provide supervision, cueing, or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfers and ambulation, as needed.
Safely roll carts, laundry hampers, and other equipment through work and resident areas.
Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with residents and the team.
Work as part of a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge.
Respond quickly to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge.
