About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides services that maintain and support residents’ activities of daily living under the supervision of a Nurse. The role provides personal care and other assistance while delivering strong customer service with courtesy, dignity, and respect. Team members collaborate with others in the community to deliver The Waters Way.

Requirements

• Certification or current registration as a nursing assistant (CNA).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal directions in English.
• Knowledge of the Home Care Bill of Rights as it applies to the CNA.
• Basic computer skills and experience with, or ability to learn, electronic health record systems.
• Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in senior care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• One year of nursing or resident assistant care experience in senior services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, and other designated care.
• Assist residents with dining.
• Perform homemaking tasks.
• Respond to and report changes in residents’ health status and recommendations for changes to their plans of care.
• Complete thorough daily charting.
• Collaborate with other community team members to deliver The Waters Way.
