About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps maintain their personal environments. The Resident Assistant transports residents within the community, responds promptly and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards, and follows resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. This is a full-time overnight position scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
