About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community on a full-time overnight schedule from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, transportation within the community, and other needs while helping maintain their safety and well-being.

The position requires following resident care plans, obtaining vital signs, and responding promptly and appropriately to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards. A high school diploma or equivalent and any applicable state educational requirements are required. CPR certification and experience working with older adults are preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain residents’ vital signs.
