About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides support to residents of an assisted living community, helping with activities of daily living and maintaining residents’ personal environments. The role also includes transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to emergency calls, requests, and environmental hazards, and following resident care plans, including obtaining vital signs. The position is part-time and overnight.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
