About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, transporting residents around the community, responding promptly and safely to calls and hazards, and following resident care plans. The position is part-time, working the NOC shift from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
